One morning Tanner decided to pour his smoothie all over his pancakes and then he continued to splash his hands in it. It made such a mess. Smoothie was all over the floor, all over his chair and all over him. And he does these things when I am distracted by something else so when I see him it is too late and the damage is done.Sunday, June 5, 2011

Tanner's Tubes
Tanner has been getting a lot of ear infections one right after the other, so finally I decided I have had enough and he was getting tubes. When we got there the nurse gave him a choice between a green bear and a blue one. He went for the green and he has been sleeping with it ever since then. He also had to have his favorite puppy with him. We had to wait for about an hour and a half, then they took him and he was back in twenty minutes. Boy was he mad when he came back. The doctor told us when they got in his ear he had glue ear, which is when the fluid has gotten so thick it is like rubber cement and they had to clean it out. We had to stay for about an hour after he was done and then we got to go home and I could tell a difference in him that afternoon. He is happier, still a trouble maker, but not as grumpy.Chad is coming Home
Today has been a bittersweet day for me, Chad was released from the bishopbric up on campass. It has been such a wonderful experience for our family. We have loved having the students over to our house for FHE, and going to some of the student ward activities. When Chad told the kids they said, "No we don't want you to get released. We like the college kids." The sad part is that we really won't see any of them anymore. The good news is Chad will be going to church with us again, but it has been four years and I'm not sure where he will fit in. My kids don't know what it is like to have dad come to church with them. Sometimes it has been hard, but there have been many blessings that come with service like that. I am glad we had the opportunity and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Brayden's Faces
Little Troublemaker
Tanner has hit the terrible twos early. He gets into everything and likes to smush it in his hair. On Tuesday Brayden put him in the playpen and somehow he got a hold of Chad's hair wax and smeared it all over his head and the playpen and he had also thrown our Farkel game in there and put some wax in the container and all over the dice. What a sticky mess.

Then on Thursday I was making breakfast for the kids and hadn't seen Tanner for a while and when I found him he was in my bathroom and he had my moisterizer smeared on his head. Then he wiped his head on the glass door in the kitchen.

Then on Saturday he got my lip gloss Brittany gave me for Mother's day, which was made from Vaseline and smeared it on his head. I didn't want to put him in the bathtub because I was going to give him a haircut, so I wiped and combed out as much as I could and gave him a haircut. Then I was cutting Jason's hair and Tanner decided to get in the sand box. Jason and Allee were laughing so hard because he put so much sand in his hair it became a different color. It almost looked like sandpaper. Needless to say after his bath my tub is full of sand.

Mother's Day
Mother's day started at about 6:30 in the morning for me with my kids coming in and saying, "Mom roll onto your stomach", then they gave me a back massage for about 30 seconds and were gone. Then Chad got out of bed to help them make me breakfast in bed. I had cinnamon toast crunch and chocolate dipped strawberries. Yummy! Then it was time for the gifts.
These are from Brayden a book about dinosaurs, a purple tissue paper flower, and cards.
This is the back of Brayden's card to me.
Brittany gave me three cards, some hand soap they made at school, lip gloss she made at acheivement days, a coupon for a back massage, a pair of earrings to share with her.
This was the card Brittany made at school. Notice how skinny I am.
A couple days before Mother's day my father-in-law sent me these flowers. I was very touched. Three flowers for my three kids. If I want more flowers, I have to have more kids.
