Brayden's Faces

Brayden wanted me to take pictures of him doing funny faces. I left out the one of a finger up both nostrils.

Little Troublemaker

Tanner has hit the terrible twos early. He gets into everything and likes to smush it in his hair. On Tuesday Brayden put him in the playpen and somehow he got a hold of Chad's hair wax and smeared it all over his head and the playpen and he had also thrown our Farkel game in there and put some wax in the container and all over the dice. What a sticky mess.

Then on Thursday I was making breakfast for the kids and hadn't seen Tanner for a while and when I found him he was in my bathroom and he had my moisterizer smeared on his head. Then he wiped his head on the glass door in the kitchen.

Then on Saturday he got my lip gloss Brittany gave me for Mother's day, which was made from Vaseline and smeared it on his head. I didn't want to put him in the bathtub because I was going to give him a haircut, so I wiped and combed out as much as I could and gave him a haircut. Then I was cutting Jason's hair and Tanner decided to get in the sand box. Jason and Allee were laughing so hard because he put so much sand in his hair it became a different color. It almost looked like sandpaper. Needless to say after his bath my tub is full of sand.

Mother's Day

Mother's day started at about 6:30 in the morning for me with my kids coming in and saying, "Mom roll onto your stomach", then they gave me a back massage for about 30 seconds and were gone. Then Chad got out of bed to help them make me breakfast in bed. I had cinnamon toast crunch and chocolate dipped strawberries. Yummy! Then it was time for the gifts.
These are from Brayden a book about dinosaurs, a purple tissue paper flower, and cards.

This is the back of Brayden's card to me.

Brittany gave me three cards, some hand soap they made at school, lip gloss she made at acheivement days, a coupon for a back massage, a pair of earrings to share with her.

This was the card Brittany made at school. Notice how skinny I am.

A couple days before Mother's day my father-in-law sent me these flowers. I was very touched. Three flowers for my three kids. If I want more flowers, I have to have more kids.

Chad gave me flowers, and bought matching aprons for Britt and I. Chad got an apron too that says, "Extremely Hot" Brayden was a little upset he didn't get an apron.

After church we went and saw both our moms and gave them our gifts. I love my mom and Chad's mom so much and am so thankful for everything they have done for our family.

Bull Riding

On Saturday Katie Phillips and I took our kids to the Spring Garden and Home show. It was a lot of fun to walk around and look at the different booths. It was almost like Halloween with how much candy the kids got. They also had a mechanical bull and a bouncy house and a man who made balloon animals.
Brayden was smiling before the ride started.

His face looked like this most of the ride.

This was Brittany's second time on a mechanical bull so she was at ease.

I tried to get her to put her hand up in the air but she wouldn't let go.

I was scared to death. First to get on the thing was a challenge because you had to jump about a foot in the air and swing your leg over at the same time. I looked very graceful getting up.

I was laughing really hard and trying not to get thrown off. Tanner was sitting in his stroller laughing the whole time. Katie was too.

I am getting off in this picture. When I was done my legs were like jello and my thighs were burning. It was so fun and I guess a good work out too.

Tanner being cheesy like always.

Playing with the Cousins

I was surprised to get a phone call on Friday from Theresa saying they were in town for the day and her kids wanted to play with mine, so they came over for about an hour. The kids had so much fun playing together on the swingset. They were outside almost the whole time in the cold and wind, but they never complained. It is not often we get to see these cousins because they live in Billings, but the kids love to get together with them.
Garren, Brittany, Kaydra, Tanner, Brayden. It's amazing they are all looking at the camera. I took the picture from my screen door because I didn't want to go outside in the cold.

Easter Sunday Clothes

The kids all got new church clothes for Easter. I love dressing Brayden and Tanner in matching clothes for church (they have 3 matching outfits).
Tanner was always trying to do a hi-ya with his foot. You can see Brittany trying to hold his legs down.

So for one picture I let them all do a hi-ya. Made Tanner very happy.

Brittany posing in her new dress. It is so hard to find dresses for her that are long enough. I've given up on finding any with sleeves. She just has to wear a shirt underneath or a white cardigan.

I could not get any normal pictures of Brayden. He is my superhero right now.

Tanner loves the camera and whenever he sees it he says, "cheese" until the picture is taken.

Easter Egg Hunt

One of my neighbors thought it would be a fun idea to host an Easter Egg hunt in our backyards and then have a neighborhood BBQ afterwards. So we all got together and had a huge Easter Egg hunt. If you wanted to participate you had to bring 10 eggs for each child. There were probably over 300 eggs hidden in the backyards.
This is a picture of some of the eggs doting the ground in the backyard.

Here are the kids lined up waiting for the hunt to begin. The children 3 and under got to go first.

Here is Tanner getting an egg out of a tree. He didn't know what was going on at first then he figured it out and was having a blast.

About two minutes after the little kids went the other kids were released. Tanner had about 4 eggs in his basket when Brittany and Brayden came up to me and said "done". So I didn't get any pictures of them picking up eggs.

Here are Brittany and Brayden all done.

The three all done after Tanner got all his eggs.

Tanner got to look inside one egg and eat the candy and then off to nap for him.
