Messy Tanner

One morning Tanner decided to pour his smoothie all over his pancakes and then he continued to splash his hands in it. It made such a mess. Smoothie was all over the floor, all over his chair and all over him. And he does these things when I am distracted by something else so when I see him it is too late and the damage is done.

Girl Scouts

Brittany participated in Girl Scouts this year. Here she is at a mom and daughter service activity. They made paper cranes to send to Japan (and they were super hard to fold). And they made this poster to send with some cookies to the soldiers over seas.

Tanner's Tubes

Tanner has been getting a lot of ear infections one right after the other, so finally I decided I have had enough and he was getting tubes. When we got there the nurse gave him a choice between a green bear and a blue one. He went for the green and he has been sleeping with it ever since then. He also had to have his favorite puppy with him. We had to wait for about an hour and a half, then they took him and he was back in twenty minutes. Boy was he mad when he came back. The doctor told us when they got in his ear he had glue ear, which is when the fluid has gotten so thick it is like rubber cement and they had to clean it out. We had to stay for about an hour after he was done and then we got to go home and I could tell a difference in him that afternoon. He is happier, still a trouble maker, but not as grumpy.

Chad is coming Home

Today has been a bittersweet day for me, Chad was released from the bishopbric up on campass. It has been such a wonderful experience for our family. We have loved having the students over to our house for FHE, and going to some of the student ward activities. When Chad told the kids they said, "No we don't want you to get released. We like the college kids." The sad part is that we really won't see any of them anymore. The good news is Chad will be going to church with us again, but it has been four years and I'm not sure where he will fit in. My kids don't know what it is like to have dad come to church with them. Sometimes it has been hard, but there have been many blessings that come with service like that. I am glad we had the opportunity and would do it again in a heartbeat.
