Boating at Island Park

We have gone boating a couple of times this year. We really have a lot of fun and we are trying to get our kids used to the water, so they will enjoy tubing and someday skiing or wakeboarding or whatever. The first time we went it poured rain and hailed on us and the kids did not think that was fun. The second time it started to rain again, but this time we found shelter. Being up in Island Park makes me really want to have a cabin on the lake. The only problem is somehow I need to come up with a million dollars to buy one. Tanner hates to wear his lifejacket. He is pretty good as long as the boat is moving. When it stops he cries.

Brittany, cheesy as always

Brayden sprayed sunblock all over the windshield of the boat when I wasn't paying attention. Now you can hardly see out of it.

I can only ski for about 500 yards and then I am completely wiped out. Brittany and I on the tube. Everytime I would tell Chad to drive faster Britt would freak out.

We are not sure what happened but all of a sudden Brayden and Katelyn were going under. Good thing for life jackets.

Chad has really enjoyed skiing this year. He feels good and is a pretty awesome skiier.

First Cookie

Family Pictures

I have noticed that I don't have any updated pictures of us as a family. Mainly because we haven't had any. So the other day we decided to take one. Brayden is shooting webs out of his fingers because he is Spiderman, Tanner is sucking his thumb like always, Brittany is cheesing it. Hmm I wonder where she gets that from? Here we are at the Hughes reunion at Yuba Lake.

Computers Back

Yahoo!!! My computers is back and working better and much faster than before. Now I just need to download some pictures and then I can blog some more. Yea!!!

Brittany's Birthday

Brittany just celebrated her 7th birthday. I can't believe she is 7 already. She is growing up and changing so fast. Brittany got a bike for her birthday. She was a little afraid to ride it at first because she can't reach the ground, but she figured it out and was flying around on the road in front of our house.

Brittany bought a gumball machine a couple of months ago, and Brayden got her some refills.

Safety first. Gotta have a new helmet to go with the new bike.

She wanted a Barbie cake for her birthday, so I made it and was going to have the Barbie kneel down, but she wanted it to be standing and the dress to look like a short dress instead of long. So I had to use glass cups to keep the cake up on the doll.

Valentine's Hair

On Valentines Day I did Brittany's hair in a heart for church. I was pretty proud of myself. Two of her friends had hearts in their hair for school and I did a variation of both of them for the hair do I came up with. I guess I will have to try a 4 leaf clover for St. Patricks day.

Fun in the Pool

A couple of weeks ago we went to Utah to see Wendi's new baby. The kids love staying in hotels so they can go swimming. This was Tanner's first time in a pool. I thought the water was a little cold, but he didn't seem to mind it then he fell alseep. It was so cute. Brittany is turning into a little fish in the water. She scares me a bit. Brayden finally would go in the water without the baby tube and float around with his water wings. Then for some reason he decided to bite the water wings and put holes in them so he couldn't use them anymore. Oh well I got them last summer at the dollar store, so I guess I will have to go find some more.

Cute Cousins

Tanner and Tyce are 5 1/2 months apart in age. I couldn't believe how huge Tanner was compared to the baby. When they were laying down Tanner was swinging his arms and kicking his legs. He kept punching Tyce because he was so excited, but it looks like Tyce got one good shot in. Tyce just curled up next to Tanner. Those babies are just so darn cute.

Daddy's Helper

A couple of weeks ago we decided to get a new faucet. Chad was installing it and he had a helper from the start. At first Brayden was laying on top of Chad then he moved to the side. The faucet works great, so I guess Brayden needs to help with all the home improvement projects.

Asleep on the Throne

Brayden hasn't been feeling very well for the past couple of days. He threw up six times on Sunday and has had diareaha today. He was waiting on the toilet for me to come and help him, I said I would be right back and I didn't think I was gone that long and I came back to him asleep. When I took the first picture the flash startled him and he went to a different position.

Tanner's Bath

Tanner is so cute and chubby and I could just hug and squeeze him all day long. This is his first bath in the bathtub and he was so cute. Look at those chubby thighs. Oh I love 'em!

Sledding

The kids love to go to Grandpa and Grandma's house to go sledding. When we went a week ago it was snowing and you couldn't keep your eyes open to see anything. Since then we bought goggles for everyone, but haven't gone sledding to use them.

Chimney Sweeps

Brittany is on a competition dance team so we get to go to different half times around the valley and watch her perform. The last one was at a game Emma was playing in so this time we stayed for the whole game. This is a picture of Brittany and her friend Nakia. They dance to the song "Step in Time" from Mary Poppins. How chimney sweeps get dirty faces but still manage to keep their shirts white is beyond me.
